Blog Post 4 (draft 2 My Kaupapa)

As I stated in my previous blog. My kaupapa Is fantasy, and I'm really interested in the concept of Magic (myths, fairy tales, and legends). It really brings your imagination to life through your artwork. Entering a whole new world, with mysterious wonders, and limitless possibilities that people want to see. It targets the curiosity of "what really is out there ", thinking about the many probabilities of an entirely different world waiting for us to discover and explore their histories, traditions, and existence of how they came to be. escaping their reality into a whole new era.

In level 1 the kaupapa I decided to work on was pacific and religion, using a variety of art styles (chalk, painting, drawing, and printmaking) constructed into my artworks. One of the amazing pieces that I had to design was an image of Mary (mother of Jesus) fused with Pasifika patterns, naming that piece The Goddess Of The pacific Seas. Use spray paint to cover the top layer of the brown paper, waiting for it to dry, then use brown and black chalk to draw the picture of Mary, fused with pacific patterns. It was a patient journey but it was worth it in the end.
Unfortunately, I didn't take part in level 2 art as a  chosen curriculum.
